Rinniku | Sci-fi | Character Design

Team: Sci-fi
Champion Name: Rinniku ( Still thinking of the name )

I decided to make a human-bear(?) character, who represents "light". Scientifically, light usually consists of ROYGBIV (rainbow), and in pixels (computer screens), the colors are usually red, blue and green.
I decided to use red, yellow, green, and blue for my main colors. :>
Rinniku is a young artist. Technology is still new and developing, which is why she is youthful.
Her primary "weapon" is her digital stylus/pen, which allows her to draw and paint (obviously hehe).
When she is fighting ( or in trouble ), she may transform her pen into a large sword.
This champion is empowered by creativity, which is so powerful, that it transformed and evolved the world. Without creativity, there is no creation. c:

I am still thinking and changing Rinniku's character.
I have sketched a design of her, but it is incomplete. I'll finish it later c:
But for now here is its progress:

So I've decided to kind of finish this sketch, coloring the weapon and outfit.
Its just an idea sketch, where I just jot all of my ideas down into one drawing.
I really love this character! The more I work on it, the more ideas that soar through my mind for her.
I also simplified my character's name from Rinniku, to Rin.
I will later refine and add details to some parts. ;D

I realized that from viewing other people's topics, that I am doing this character designing wrong. D:
I didn't know that there was a specific way that artists usually conform to, so I will try following that.
I am still a bit new to the (adult) art community, so if I am doing something weird or wrong, please correct me. I would appreciate it greatly !

I will study more topics and try to do it the "correct" way, because if many artists do it, it just might be a better method for character designing. :>

Interesting character design! There is no right way of creating a character. Many of the other artists here like to use thumbnails to explore character concepts quickly before committing to a design that they like. If you already have a clear idea of how your character is going to look, go for it! (Although thumbnails can be fun too!) Best of luck!
