Champion Name: S.A.M. (Salvator, Artificialis, Machina)

My champion S.A.M. is an artificial intelligent robot. He was sent out to find a suitable planet for humans, along with previous robots for hundreds of years, but none have had any luck. Humans keep trying to learn from their previous failed attempts and send out the next one hoping to be the savior of mankind. S.A.M. comes equipped with (subject to change) a sword, jetpack that works on land and in water or whatever the liquid substance is, a small robotic companion that a scientist transferred his brain into, and other gadgets. Anyway, I have a few head sketches and I'm going to choose one from them and go on from there. The first one is mainly for research and other fun science stuff, second one primarily focuses on having some sort of human reflection so if he runs into any other intelligent life form then they have some understanding of humans. Third one is just a straight up brute. Any opinion and suggestion is welcome!

Love the simplistic face I hope you come up with a range of his emotions in different facial expressions because this one is really fun xD

Thanks! I'll admit I'm leaning towards the center one. I'll definitely give him different expressions and maybe a different face too. Trying to find a balance of how "human" I want him to be haha

Finished up the outline and what I want the head to look. I also added some color and a (head) armored version.

Love the companion idea! And you've got great potential with the screen face.
I'm just wondering, why didn't the scientist transfer to the robot instead?

My thinking was that the A.I., Sam, didn't get fully programmed when he was being made. There's a story I'm working on that explains that. So the scientist transferred himself into a companion to make sure everything goes right and he can fill in the gaps for Sam. He can also scout areas that the A.I. can't... Basically makes the "fish out of water" type of story more severe and interesting haha
