Not gonna lie, I was sort of anxious to participate, which is why I start this late, but hey, there's still time, and I would definitely appreciate any kind of tip, so why not?

So far only two variations emerged, mainly because I wasn't entirely sure if I should go with humanoid design or push animal-like look further. I did on the other hand focus on trying to make parts of its body not just cosmetics but useful parts too. There's still long way to go, though.

Cool! I like the light-up spines. They give the design an organic "deep-sea creature" feel while still looking sci-fi. I personally like the less humanoid version better, but they are both interesting concepts. Good luck! 😁

Your design looks great and I would definitely want to see further of that mecha-animal !! The animal-like, to me, gives your concept more strength and more possibilities for poses. It also looks much more dynamic Really waiting to see more detailled versions of them ones
