Hey Im a new guy and not only is this my first art contest ever, this will be my first time posting my art online so I hope you guys like it!

I chose #TeamSciFi however I will be using the anatomy of generic Fantasy Type characters/creatures(example: elves/ogres/fairies/dragons etc.) and mechanizing/militarizing them to a Sci Fi feel. Will my Sci Fi type Character taking on this appearance to bring peace between the two genres? Or is he/she just an Imposter?

I started by creating a few rough concepts trying to decide which idea I should go with. I thoought of narrowing it down to the Fairy since theres alot of design ideas that came into my head.

I then Created a few rough comps sketches, on the uniform to decide which SciFi style do I want to go with; from grounded to futuristic. Comp A was inspired by Airforce military uniforms, Comp B is inspired by the military and bugs ( i think i'm gonna work on this one more) and Comp C is full on futuristic android ish which is kinda cool too.

Will be designing the wings soon , thinking of making them kinda like a drone, or plane wings or even both! gonna visit a Airforce Museum to build my visual library for that. Constructive feedback would be nice

Continued on Comp B, adding some more details on it. elaborated a bit more on the wings (tryna inspire myself with the Owl Butterfly and Yves Rossy's Jetpack invention). Not satisfied with it yet, Gonna make more variations since its functionality needs to make a bit more sense.

Been on the road alot lately, so had to rely on my sketchbook, I'm trying to revisite the design for the wings

Haven't touch my computer in forever, so im still on the sketchbook, here's how I thought the wings would work in its HOVER MODE,

Thought I'd rethink the helmet, so here's some thumbnails

and here's the comp and my attempt at an ortho for the one I picked kinda looks like a butterfly which is pretty cool. Also chose a face for her, a seductive yet motherly like face is what i'm trying to get at

aaanndd here's the comp, it's meant to double as a controle stick for the wings,

That's all I got for today, gonna try to get back to digital painting soon but for now still traveling,

Finally back on digital painting :') did new comp, not too far different from the previous one, but changed up her body type playing with her proportions. Made her shoulders slightly muscular to suggest strength, but kept her thin enough to be light in the air. redesigned her wings a bit more too and added in the new helmet design, Liking where this is going, think im gonna continue on it then work on the back.

Finally making (somewhat of) time for this project, heres and update of the Concept sheet changed the bottom wings abit (inspired by the stealth fighter jets)

Gonna start multitasking with the illustration sheet (since the deadline is coming haha) heres a super rough thumbnail i made, I'll be elaborating on what exactly it's supposed to be when I can, but it will be revealed as i sculpt out this painting in the future
