After looking over the original sketch, concept and backstory; I’ve decided to change her design from an agile duelist, to be a bit more rugged and heavy with a less elegant feel.
Her new armour design was not only chosen for asthetic appeal, but also because her armour and gear absorbs, consumes and expels thermal and kinetic energy. Meaning the more she moves, strikes or gets hit the easier she is able to move, her armour becomes more resistant, her attacks become more brutal and deadly.
So on to the gear:
I’ve decided to connect her goggles, headphones and metal jaw together (although they function separately and can be removed separately) I noticed that it would be hard for her to grab her goggles in the midst of a fight so now they can cover her eyes and move back onto her forehead at will, a button or voice command if you want to get technical.
Added more armour parts for defence and absorption. I wanted the armour light enough for her to able to move out of the way of an attack, but heavy enough to take a hit if need be.
More robust mechanical boots so you get the feeling that they are heavy enough to be able to take punishment and hold her body mass when they are magnetic.
She has a personal anti-projectile force field generator on her back to protect her from attacks that could damage her energy conversion system causing her and everyone around her to be consumed in blue fire.
The fist on mechanical arm is connected to a chain which can be shot off and used as a grappling hook or set to burn or explode anything it latches onto in blue fire.
Her sword is more fitting for a person that has undergone no formal fencing training, but learnt to fight in the heat of the moment. Speaking of heat, her sword can be heated up to pass through anything not dense enough or able to handle the heat. Also a flamethrower is connected above the sword to spew fire and burn her foes. Her armour and force field can also absorb heat from the blaze and convert it into energy for her to use.
There are vents all over her armour and gear to expel heat in case they get too hot. The nature of the blue fire is that it’s cold when still and then begins heating when it becomes agitated or moves and if it makes direct contact with air it explodes after a few seconds. Her armour is protected from it of course as she uses the same metal and glass meant to trap the volatile blue substance.
