I thought it was a nice way to frame the image, and since she's gonna be blurred the attention should go back to the character in the bright light
But I'll keep working on it anyway, trying to get the best illustration I can do

Yeah, that submit entry button has me worried I'll clip it as well. I am hoping (and pretty sure) that they put in some confirmation dialogues, but I am afraid to test it.

Red panda are delightful, I keep on coming back to see more of it.

As I look at the composition thumb nails, it seems like the forest setting might be better for communicating the spot light and getting those fun highlights to show. What is going to be causing that dramatic lighting? Late day sun cutting through clouds?

Looking forward to seeing more!

maybe try making everything darker by casting a shadow from the landscape you got there in the background and get your character catch some in light as if there was an opening

I'm gonna really work on the red panda once the final composition will be decided, and there might be an armor for this little guy but shhh I didn't say it

True but I've done so much illustration in a forest lately I have to find something different for once, I need to keep working on this and think this through

That was the idea I had and forgot to put it on the sketch, like half of the ideas I have I forget them, having an awful memory like me sucks xD

Looking cool so far, maybe I'm wrong but I think that the tail is too big and it distracts too much in comparison of the main character, maybe a little shorter or thiner, I don't know...

The zoomed version does read and fit better. I don't think you should delete the shape in the bottom (if we're thinking of the same thing - bottom left for me), it directs the eye to the character and also limits the tilt (I still think you could do with a bit less tilting :D). Other than that - it's shaping to be a really cool scene, maybe play with the spear position a bit, she could be pointing it at the other character? Or just holding it in a more appropriate fashion, most cavalry doesn't let the spear touch the ground, contrary to spearmen.

I'm playing with the spear right now, I'm not very happy with the posing yet

In my opinion the Person in the front looks better when zoomed in, but you also lost a bit of the epic feeling on your main character. Because zoomed out it feels more like she is standing on a rock high above you. And when you zoom in that feeling just gets lost in my opinion.
