hey thanks. not really neon, but its like, a technology halo for sure. if you read the concept for the halo, you can see how it amplifies and transmits psychic energy. his staff is an auxiliary amplifier as well.

Ok cool and you're welcome ^^
Oh yes...the illustration can take a long time when you don't really know what you want to do (even with thumbnails, a lot...sometimes I'm even more lost ^^').

This looks fun!
I can't wait to see his powers.
do you have sketches for those yet?
What is the shape language for his powers?
MORE NEED MORE POWER!
^_^

still not done with the concept page. im just gonna have to touch it up here and there while i work on the illustration. maybe get my hands on a sweetass artwar 3 logo or something. i have to get started on this illustration pronto, man. any and all critique is appreciated and needed!

Concept sheet is looking good, lets see what will you add or change on it

ty! im totally taking suggestions! xD

Not sure but you can try adding more cyberpunk elements to it maybe make the trousers more futuristic looking or a bit cliche but add more robotic parts to limbs or torso just to see how it works. It's already a cool design, try something for variety to pick from

thanks man. ill do some techy sketches and get back to you then.

you're welcome, I'll be waiting

Man, this is looking great. The only critique I have is that the device that the halo is mounted on appears to be placed a little bit differently on the 3 images, and I think his feet might be a bit on the small side.

But yeah, every idea aspect of this looks great. Lovin it

@PeterH ill reconstruct for sure then! thanks for the heads up!
also, HNNNNG. thanks man. that made me feel good. <3

I see you really have a very architectural approach of (all) things haha

@mr_dessin hahah! i wish. xD its only a recent development. once i learned that riccardo federici went to school for architecture, it was all over. haha.

I love your character!
And yes  everything does look perfectly matched into perspective

thanks! <3! haha. i needed that today. as for the correct perspective part:
im not religious but this is a cool quote that ive been living by for the past few months.
Quran-103:3
"وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ‌" "watawasaw bil haqqi watawasaw bis sabr"
and enjoin one another to [follow] the truth (do things the right way), and enjoin one another to [have] patience.

got interrupted by errands. couldnt get all the way through the perspective block in today. should have it all blocked out tomorrow though. <3

sharing some personal notes:
ive done a 3d blockmesh before, and im actually surprised by how fast drawing in perspective is, comparatively. like, actually having done both methods, i can honestly say that they each have their pros and cons. its surprising because ive been lamenting the notion of 3d being better than 2d in every way. now i think that theyre just different beasts with pros and cons.

huh. if anyone is curious, im actually kind of glad that i took the time to explore both mediums. my progress has been slower than my friends, but i think that using the right tool for the job, and knowing what tool to use might just be half the battle in this industry.

note to self: make wheels bigger and drop them by 1/3-1/6T to touch the floor.
