Hello there! This one is my first Art War, I hope to get to the end of it with something nice to show ^_^

My first thought was immediatly to select the Villain side (because I just love evil characters), but I didn't really know where to go.

After some research and analysis of the moodboard I created, I decided to go with some fantasy but fashion style.

This is Atropos, Devour of Souls.
Queen of the Undead and of the Inevitable Fate, she's the one who choses who lives and who dies. Her hunger for souls is never satisfied, and when anyone meets her it means she wants their soul.

Here's the silhouette I created thinking about her, and I took one of them a little bit further. Changes are still on the table, so if you have any critique feel free to tell me!

During the next days I want to explore more the details, like her haircut and all the patterns and details of the costume, but I'm starting to think a little bit also about the composition of the illustration.

Thinking about the face and the haircut.
So far I thought I would have liked the 2nd one the most (which is the one I was thinking about in the silhouette), but instead I'm thinking about going with simplicity, because the whole design is going to be pretty full of twirls and I really like the 6th. We'll see!

If I have enough time, later today I'm starting to study a little bit the headpiece!

@HorizonDweller Alright, thanks! I think it may be the right direction as well ^_^

So, after thinking a little bit about the hair, the 6th one won! (thanks @musagi_scarlett, I really liked the 3rd as well but at the end I prefered to keep it simple )

Here's some studies for the head jewels, and right now I'm pretty going towards the 2nd one..but I still have room to decide!
I'm also attaching the final head and the base of the clothing, but next update is going to be the complete and final-ish sketch! Then I'm starting with the thumbs ^_^

Still working on the sketch, but I'm close to an end of her design, so that I can focus on the thumbnails.
I still want to work a little bit on the structure on her back and try to play a little with the colors (I love black and gold, but I want to also try something else )

I also would really like to create some pattern! But I can think about it even while I'm doing the illustration..I want to see if the design gets to heavy first ^_^
