I really can't explain it, I just love shapes 'cause they are more understandable and clean, I see the result right now unlike deceptive lines. You can work with shapes like sculpture with clay, it's just... comfortably, I think : D

Beautiful concept! Although if I may point out, I feel like the values of your golden motif, particularly inside the skull's eyes, detract from reading the skull shape, I'd just suggest toning those down, to avoid drowning that great concept of yours in not so relevant details.
Just my humble opinion, keep up the great work!

That's crazy, we had pretty similar ideas for our characters thematically haha.
Really liked how this turned out, it looks awesome!
