I'm liking this new dragon

What i’m going for in this composition is kind of like that transition from cutscene to gameplay sort of... feel i guess.

I captured these images with a potato, so forgive the quality, but i’m doing that thing where my ADD goes into full swing and I start getting very rough ideas about colors.

It’s not supposed to be flipped, but that’s the way I ended up saving it. Again, I am up at a time no person should be up, so intelligent or insightful comments from me are not available right now.

I had a little thought, I was like, I could really play around with perspective to get a composition that would show the detail of his face. So, while in the process of doing that, I sort of re worked his “power”.
in the newer version, the backstory behind his power comes from a parasitic demonic entity. He is basically granted superhuman abilities as long as he keeps the demonic entity fed with blood, or else it will consume him instead. The setting is sorta kinda western.

I also have been working on the other comp too, but i’m a bit more partial to the newer one.

You went through so many changes since the beginning XD That's actually really inspiring to see you not being afraid to just change course when you feel like you have a better idea. Let's see if this last concept will survive til the end

Alright, I am really digging the creepy arm version. Its really fun to go back through the images and see how you have basically ramped it up each time.

Even if I really enjoy this concept...there is just one thing that...I can't really explain why but, I don't know I feel it off with the design : the octopus arm ? (or maybe that's just me and my stupid thoughts as usual)
Don't hear to me if you deeply think that's totally alright ^^

Anyways I believe you could do a really kick ass stuff with this new concept : D

I think the missmatch is in partial due to the energy I was going for while sketching him changed when I started refining it. I’m in the process of giving the arm a more realistic/ based in anatomy look.
It’s kind of in style limbo right now

His power is summoning. How it works is the creature is spewed out in a blood like liquid from the mouth of the skull, afterwords it takes it’s solid form.
His design was a little too ornamental for an action scene in my latest concepts, so i wanted the illustration to match his ornamental aesthetic.

Thank you all for sticking around on this wild ride! I would have never gotten to the point I am with my art without the art war! I hope it stays around for a long time.
