The insects are invading human realms seeking resources and capturing slaves.
One of the most brutal of them is Graetkaha'r, the leader of one of the biggest scout groups sent ahead directly by the queen herself.

Looks great so far. I think I'd prefer the left iteration.

Make sure to think about how the tail interacts properly with the armor. I could easily picture that being a bit tricky.

Early sketch2. More exploration of overall design. And at this earlier point, he looked more like a reptilian, not like an insectoid. I fixed it a few days later.

Fun sketches.

He's feeding those heads to some little insect guys in that second image isn't he? Eww! That really does make for some straight forward story and emotional investment.

Looking forward to seeing some more stuff!

Thank you! Yeah, it is the same character, just the character development process went crazy sideways along the way so there's like a bunch of different designs and ideas lying around.
I wasn't sure about the insect thing from the start, it kind of appeared later.

And yes. I hope to pull something fun off of that interaction between him and those little insect guys.
