Haha yes. I've been in awe of his work lately and wanted to try a similar style with my own work 
Did some further designs for my villain and started to think about the final illustration. Thought I'd also give a bit of a description of the character so you guys can see where I'm going with this.
This tyrant of an empress has come to power through the use of her ability to control shadows. She is able to teleport by using the shadows as a gate and can also form creatures out of the shadows. With an army that she created overthrowing the previous ruler was easy and now the people are kept at bay through violence and fear.
terrifying but I love the mood! can't wait to see where it goes!
