I finally decided the iteration I will develop even further, and I took the elements of iterations 1 and 3 that seemed interesting to me.

About the superpower, I think it will be something related to decomposed bodies and miasma.

I can't wait to add him some color!!

I designed the back view of the character, also I added some items to de character.

I realized about some issues with the values of the character. I think I'll trace this views to make flats of value and then hue.

I'm done with the flats and line art of front view. I think tomorrow I'll block in the shadows and highlights and then add some color to it!

Cool design! Can't wait to see your thumbnails. In the end, if your character doesn't walk, have you considered giving him atrophied legs?

I finished rendering the flats and now this guy is ready for some cholor schemes!!

I replaced the "baculum" idea ofr a kind of white talisman to give some contrast to the character.

I think I'll go with the third one 'cuz I liked a lot the color of the magic and the palette of the character itself.

Hey, Christmas kept me busy and didn't have much time to keep it up these days.

Since I finally have the design finished I started thinking about the illustration and what could be in there.

Here I did some value sketches.
I'm thinking on a night scene with inside a deep woods full of corpses.

@acolet there could be a problem with the requerimients if some little parts (like 20% of the character) aren't shown?

I was starting to feel anxious about the deadline and when I returned from vacation I found out deadline extended 7 days!!!

Shouldn't be a problem. We want to clearly see the character, but some parts may be obscured or cropped, up to around 20%. The main issue would be if the judges felt they can't see the character properly, then they would give a worse score to the entry.

Today I did a progress on the illustration composition and palette. The general idea is Umthakati inside a deep woods full of corpses (product of this current war of Villains vs Heroes). We see him using the corpses for power gain.

I liked the palette but I feel I could explore more color options, any ideas?

Hi! Just passing by. In your charcter sheet, the prosthetic hands of your character are giants, deployed they are roughly half the size of your dude. In your illustration those hands are the size of the victim's head. Better make a giant hand engulfring the whole body and shift the villain to the right of your canvas. Good luck!

Thanks a lot, but your comment is little confusing.

I've understood that in the Composition variants sheet the extra arms (even tho u said hand) look bigger than the size I depict in the illustration, also depicting in the variants sheet the hand enough bigger to grab almost the whole body.

Well, if so, those are very good suggestions, but do you think it could be a coherence problem between what the illustration depicts about the character and the look of the character in the Concept character sheet?

I discarded that lot larger arms idea because of that...

Also, about that idea of shifting the charcter to the right side, I didn't whought about that, nice idea!

It was super fun to work in this project. I learned a lot about the work flow I prefer and the process of design.
