Alright, so I have been playing around with some ideas of how I will create this hero Monuselah.
I prefer to get into sculpting as fast as possible, since it feels like a more intuitive process to me.
Starting this project, I wanted to create something that would let me to play around with shapes and proportions - which led me to create a base that would serve a good start for this giant wooden hero.
Usually when I create new concepts that does not have a lot of its story defined, I enjoy to create it on the go as I sculpt. Mostly because it feels like a lot of the good ideas come while building the actual character.
I started to block out the silhouette and main feeling with zspheres:
I did some rough sketches (which aint my strongest side, but I try to do it for practice). I understood that I wanted more interesting shapes than I did in my drawings. But I liked the idea of having mushrooms on top of the character.
