Hi! First time entering this. I thought I'd do a character that makes use of some procedural modeling, and should involve an interesting rig.
Character: A thrall that splits its body with exoskeletal girders; either for structural cohesion, or their regenerative properties.

A rough sketch. Deciding where he will be sliced. One somewhat mutant/split arm(Parasyte?).
A base mesh, nearly ready for the chopping block.
Sculpting, textures and initial shaders. Getting into the rigging, along with the setup for generating the internal structure.
This fills me with abject terror in a way only Courage the Cowardly Dog's stuff does, awesome as hell!

I used SOuP for Maya and some expressions, to position, aim and color the internal objects. The image shows some potential looks. I also did a skeleton that I think will fulfill my purposes.
Uploaded my final entry to the top post(just in time?). I took a photo for the background last night, and finished the posing and rendering today.
