John Doe is an unknown former US soldier with necromancy powers. He suddenly appeared in the European battlefields during a devastating WW3 and was seen bringing death and chaos to everyone.

I decided to set my villain in a modern era where a new World War is raging: USA, United European Nation, Russian Federation and China are the main nations and are fighting each other.
As stated earlier, John Doe is an unknown soldier which is able to raise the dead to make them fight with him. First footages found amidst empty battlefields showed John attacking blindly each side and adding fallen soldiers to his little army. His motivations are unknown and his powers' origins are a complete mystery; some said he just want to watch the world burns as he's the devil in flesh, whereas others think he works for a country operating in the shadows. Whatever could his motivations be, he remains a deadly foe causing of lot of fear and death within the ranks of all armies operating in the European theater, and is actively wanted by both US and European gouvernments.

Here's the moodboard for John Doe.

Some explications for the moodboard and the direction I'm taking, and some background explications as well:
I explored the idea of an ancient being in a modern era, trying to adjust to this new world while staying the same he was back in the day. I particularly like this idea in American Gods, especially Czernobog's character, who's an old slavic god of war trapped in some lands where nobody knows him anymore.
For my character, I wanted to make a modern "death god", an old and forgotten entity woken up by this huge war and its countless battles and bloodbaths. There has always been legends and myths around warriors and war since the beginning of times, and I wanted to explore what a being like a god of war/death could be in an actual war. This entity appears where it's not expected and doesn't choose to fight with one side or another, he just feasts on corpses and violence; he wore a different shape for each ancient war he fought, and, for this conflict, he chose the appearance of a dead US soldier.
To quench his blood thirst, he's able to resurrect the fallen soldiers around him to make them fight for him, and even though the bond he creates between him and these corpses is temporary, it is enough to take out even the most skilled and trained battalion.

I'll begin shortly to work on the uniform!
