Hi everyone! I'm really excited to join in on this competition. I'll be creating a champion for team Fantasy!

I don't have a reference sheet; instead I went straight into making silhouettes.

I felt like the far right one was the weakest, and the middle was the original silhouette. The far left was just me screwing around, but the more I did it, the more I liked it! Monsters are my strength, not humans, but I want to push myself.

So I pushed the silhouette more.

Buuuuut she needed clothes, so I went a little wild and I'm super happy with the results. Time so far: 3 1/2 - 4 hours, roughly.

Her posing (the arm, really) looks a bit awkward, but I don't think this will be her final pose. I will play around with that next.

Here's an update on the b&w concept sheet. It's not done yet, but I've put about 5 hours or so into it tonight and I am adoring it to be honest.

Final concept sheet. Not bothering much with colors and such since she's basically white, I just wanted to establish markings and what's asymmetrical and not.

Hi everyone! It's been a crazy week, but I was really struggling with making my first ever base mesh for a female. I went ahead and made the full mesh even if I'll only use her torso for this challenge, any tips are appreciated.

Progress on the horse body for the night; so far it really looks more like a dog. I'm wanting to go more for a draft horse look/ Freisian horse, and will probably be fattening the back end up a bit.

I've been sick so little progress, however I messed with her face a bit and body proportions more just to play than anything and really liked the results, so I played with colors and materials as well!

Lightened her up so I could play with markings paint. None of this will be final but it is giving me a feel for how it looks in 3d, to a degree. She still needs much sculpted detail.

Played with posing last night, as well as materials. This isn't final, more like a preview so I knew I was going in the right direction for me. SO far the answer is, yes.... though I will push the pose to be more extreme.

That said, I've started putting scales on her and while I really like them, they just seem a bit chaotic where the shoulder and rib meet. Any suggestions or insight on this?

For example, on the ribs you can clearly see the "rows" that flow, and same goes for the shoulder, but where they meet it's a bit muddy to me.

Slowly but surely, she is coming together.

I hand placed each scale to get the look I wanted, and her placeholder hair is being slowly replaced with clumps that I am also individually sculpting.

I'm considering her backstory now, I already knew what I wanted about her role vurrently but not about "how she came into being". It's being formulated and I'll post her story up as soon as I am satisfied with it- though it seems to evolve as I create her more!

Not much done tonight, played with her face to get it closer to her original concept.. it's not the same on front and side views in teh concept art so I kind of merged it and. You guys. I love her so much.

Thoughts?

Added more "floof" that's unfinished to her mane, and started working on her braids.

I'm hoping the dr visit on Thursday clears some things up so I can work on her more!

Made it this far tonight... only to realize her braid was upside down. D:

I know this is a way that can be done with braids it's just not looking right to me

HER BRAIDS ARE DONE! Any feedback here is greatly appreciated, I'm still a bit shaky on the fur on the braid side.
