@majmufin you're right. my inspiration board is full of humanoid characters, but in my head i also have some sort of insect looking Praying Mantis thingy. yet i'm not sure how it will pan out, but if i can make it work somehow, i definately wanna incorporate a Mantis look!

@mavkrogan then get outta here no just kidding. fantasy fans ARE welcome here, but at your own risk. if your head explodes coz it cannot handle the heavy mecha visuals, it's not my fault

@Iago_Cavalcante obviously with Leslie on our side Fantasy has no chance btw great song, I can actually imagine it to be a theme song for this sort of world!
@fantasymaster I won't be doing a concept this time i wanted to skip on that part

since I'm not creating any concept I needed to create a face or something so I can identify with my character a bit. also started to sketch in zbrush a base body for her...
all her limbs and basically 80% of her body is gonna be mechanic and there are gonna be some armor parts attached on top of this... everything is subject to shange yet, feel free to criticize!

and a progress gif for the face if anyone happens to be interested. haven't zbrushed for ages so it's ot that interesting, but oh well...

I think the eyes are a bit to narrow. Two frames just before the armor pops in, that state of the face may be better. Great job otherwise.

Well.. this turned out to be an epic fail...
But basically I spent many hours on sketching and I hated all that I've done.. I even experimented with some stylized ztyle but seems like I'm a too few for this contest now maybe next time.
It's really good to see so many inspiring art beeing made by others
