Hi guys !

I'm a bit late to the party, but I wanted to have a general idea of where I was going before truly starting. This is my first contest ever and I have no doubt I will learn of lot by doing it. I'm team fantasy all the way, but I'm pretty excited to see what everyone will produce !

Glorius is a half-human, half-goat general of one of the four armies of a faraway land. He is ambitious and temperamental, and not one to back down on a fight.

Here is my reference sheet for the armor (hardsurface, here I come !) :

And here the concept I've got for now. I'll go along with the flow in 3D of course, so nothing is set in stone. I need to test those horns, and I'm not sure yet for the weapon. Pretty excited to start working on this guy !

I like horn design 1 and horn design 3, Would like to see both blocked out in 3d to see them better. Cool concept so far as well.

@jeebs Thank you for your comment ! I hope I will be do him justice in 3D as well. Your own champion is really great, her legs rock so much !
@malcom Thank you ! Horn design 1 and 3 also have my preferences.

And here is my block out to check the overall feeling of the armor. I think it's a bit too close to the skin for parts around the legs/arms, I will try to thicken them up.

I've tried the 3 horns possibilities, and even taking account that they may not be as thick as they should be, I feel the n°2 lacks something. N°3 is nice from the front, but I'm not sure yet for the 3/4 view...

Rough forms for now, so next step is to clean all that !

Great block out so far! I really like the first version of the horns, though I feel like they could all be good especially if they were thicker Excited to see where this sculpt takes you!

When seeing the horns in 3d, design 1 looks really good. in both angles. Design 3 looked cool front view but when turned 3/4 view, they looked a little basic in my opinion. I would also agree with you on making the armor parts around the body a little thicker.
Keep up the good work. This is looking good.

@malcom Thank you ! I'm a bit sad the n°3 didn't live up to my expectations in 3/4, so I will try to see what I can do with them.

So here what I've been doing during those two weeks (damn, already !) : cleaning my forms and, in the end, deciding to keep it as my low poly.

I didn't work on the body yet, I think I will retopoly it after my high is done, seeing as I will not need to keep all of it. (do not mind the parts you can see through the armor, they will not stay visible)

Next step is to work on the high poly ! Firstly the head/horns, I think, it does look a bit funny right now all naked like that..!
