Cool, I love it so far, I personally like the second pose, but its up to you. As for the tattoos and armor and so forth, think about the culture this elf is in, is it one that covets the nature around them, why? Is it a society that communes with nature? What is the cultural importance of the tattoos? Does a skull mean that that elf has wronged he tribe or society, or that the elf is a powerful hunter? The deeper your world is, as long as you transfer it to detail, the more it will show. I can't wait to see where it ends up!
