Hello everyone,

This is my thread for my ART WAR 3D Character. My goal is to create a demon/oni wyvern beast in the Fantasy Realm. (Team Fantasy! ) I want to create a very dark, demonic yet slightly traditional character that resembles that of a final fantasy style creature. Something of a mixture between a Behemoth and a Oni/Wyvern. Im sure at some point the name will change but for now I will just call it Oni Wyvern. Good luck to everyone!

This is a very loose reference page since we have to put it on a small size but I have a huge reference folder full of stuff. As far as the oni aspect of it I want to keep it very grungy and dark but yet still have some sort of neo styled demonic presence in a creature. My goal is to start blocking it out tomorrow.

Idk how important it is but it says to list that personal info in the rules. I've found with these contests that the rules are really loose. Not sure if it'll even matter. lol

Messing around with some head designs. I like the idea of thick white hair cards going down the back to give it more of that Japanese demonic feel. The teeth are just place holders for now but I want to add much more of them. Based on the sketch I did I wanted to stay kind of true to that so Im planning on making really demony flesh on the body with hellfire scorched stone on the other parts. For the horns I want to have a twisted demon horn similar to that of my reference sheet. Trying to get into the swing of things with this character and get a feel on it.

rock material? isn't it , atleast that is what I imagined with a wyvern, a reptilian creature, so wouldn't scales work beter here? unless ofc, it is a rock wyvern, fantasy and all

I def do not want any scales with this. Too common and I'm not even sure how true it'll stay to a wyvern in the end. I don't even know if I want to mess with wings yet. It'll definitely be more fantasy realm ( Mix of behemoth and wyvern). With this try to imagine more of a wyvern shape but demonic oni look and feel. Demon skin, molten rock, armor, final fantasy ish style. etc etc.

Not really much progress last night. Normally I would have blocked out way more before working on this one spot as much as I have. I just got sucked into it. Ill be working on the body and possibly some armor tonight.

you could try removing the tooth which points downwards, it doesn't fit somehow the rest of his head. just an idea.
can't wait to see the body!
