hey guys! joining in on the fantasy side! doing something elfy/princessy/knighty stuff.

current design ideas based on partial armour and an asymmetrical skirt design, going to do some mixing and matching and other designs that will be going into more diverse directions.
feedback welcome

inspiration:

adding base story:

this is one of the ruling rose sisters of the north, their bloodline spands thousands of years back to the true elven tribes of old who lived in the frozen tundra after they were forced from their homes. they prayed to the rose goddess and she brought them out of their depths of despair and warmed their hearts. for that they promised to forever love and worship the goddess and since then their world turned to crystal palaces and gardens of forever scented flowers.
life and spirit came back to the ancient race and even though everyone became blissfully happy living their lives, the chosen royals were always taught to remember what use to be, what is, and what could be. three chosen marked sisters rule at a time, first, the compassionate mother who loves the people, second, the diplomatic scholar who teaches them, and third, the rose warrior who protects them. each fulfilling their roles to keep their people safe from the hands of those who look to destroy them.

the rose warrior, beautifully adorned in shining armour, accented with feathers, rich fabrics, and roses from head to toe. she wields a magical weapon called the thorn blade that holds the strength of all the warriors before her and with their power, they protect their people.

I can not critic anything, so majestic mood /reference board & character design.
I tend a little to right side design. since the fancy fashion is so appearing.

Looks like the 3d side will have there work cut out for them. I've known of your work for awhile.
Right now I like the Corset and shoulder pad designs of design b(design on the right) I feel like the legs and skirt design of A is better than that of design B. Having the armor bracelets on the Hair is an cool idea as well. With you playing off this asymmetrical design language, Composing those feather ideas can work out really well. Composing the character to be looked at left to right or vise-versa in a diagonal fashion can benefit the impact of the design. Will make you say "oh look at that, she has "this thing here an here" Thats cool."
Look forward to other iterations as well. Other than that, keep up the good work. Solid reference board. Overall really solid work. Look forward to further updates.
Also if your going to give her some kind of weapon then a feather like blade would be cool. A rapier with some kind of feather like handle sounds good but this is your design so do what you like of course.
Lastly as I have to say this to any of you fantasy continders, TEAM SCI-FI will win lol Best of luck.

Nice hair colors, nice drawings, erhm a lot of chicks that is why i switched off mine.
Yours is looking good so far a bit of the same from your previous bust if i remember correctly (dark clothed elf) but still looking forward to more.

I think if you put those leg guards from the left on to the one on the right it will work with the shapes more. Good stuff, looking forward to finished product!

@ybourykina I really like the left design, it leaves a slightly stronger silhouette of the two. If you replace the legs from the right for the left ones it would make her look regal af.

Nice to see you decide to join, Katia. Diggin the concept and theme thus far...but you're on the Fantasy side, so I can't root for you too much.

I do have a challenge for you though, if you're willing (challenge within a challenge? Whaaaa...?).

This character concept is definitely heading in the direction that is fairly proto-typical of the majority of your character work so far, so I would love to see you mix it up a bit and maybe try something a little different. Change up the face, experiment with texturing style, or perhaps push her towards something more monstrous or hardened-warrior even! Regardless I think she'll look great however you tackle her.

@bcbedford ahahahaha fantasy side is the only side thanks Brian, that was what i was trying to do with Tryndamere a few months back, hardened male warrior, muscles of steel, texture style of LoL! xD need to switch back to katia mode for a bit with no constraints, i would loveeee to get into PBR with this one, but i'm pretty sure i won't have the time to do it right with work and actually finish, so i'll have to step out of my box more later. i will for sure push myself and hopefully level up ...and maybe even finish a contest for once <3

After reading the story you have, I like design D the most. E is like a very close 2nd. Keep up the good work.
