Yeah, I'm with 6, I agree with what you said about 3 but the rest of the character is mostly pink and blue, so when her hair is pink too it feels like negative space to me. (But you could offset that with lighting/saturation, so u do you v('u' )v haha)

Personally her stripped top is what gets me, but I rarely like strips in design, so I'm biased. Looks great and definitely will be following your progress

@lasoob Yeah i also like the orange but that might be because i have orange hair so i'm biased! I think i will end up trying different colour tests when i get around to the texture!

Thanks everyone for all your feedback. I really appreciate it!
I thought i would update my thread with current progress. I started blocking everything out minus the weapons. I still have the shoes to do and some things on the belt, but it's almost there.
Any feedback on the proportions and silhouette at this point would be really helpful!

Started doing paintovers of the belt to see what needs to be modelled. I will probably do the same with the gloves and shoes:

The little pouch is to carry caltraps in!

Looks good so far, i like the idea of the disconnected hands!
Also the magnetic holders are a great idea.
How about making the hands more like big mechanical gauntlets (in the ref image with the girl blowing a bubble) just to make the character and silhouette a bit more unique?

Hey everyone!

Long post incoming!!
So i posted my progress yesterday and someone assumed that i just made a fanart of this:

This image is in my moodboard at the top of the page and i definitely took inspiration from this with the arms. I thought originally my concept was different enough but i guess with a similar shape leotard, combined with the hands it's looking too alike.

I really like the idea of having no forearms so the hands can move further away from the body during combat. I would like to stick with this idea and so i have come up with more concepts to move further away from what i currently have. Hopefully i can come up with something more unique and original

Here are some initial concepts:

For the arms the forearm has a form of light and through the middle the laser can be seen connecting the hands to the upper arm. Each concept has a different design of how the armour might sit over the top, and the idea is it expands out when she is attacking (The light allows her arm to stretch.). You will always be able to see cracks of light underneath but the forearm will reveal itself more when the armour expands.
I also started to redesign some of her clothing involving more ninja elements within the design.

Let me know what you guys think and whether it's different enough! D:
