Hahaha Please keep that haircut, I love it! Even though it makes him look slightly less threatening Really liking the skin though man! If it's not too much trouble could you show a sculpt screenshot? I'd love to see how the detail compares to the rendered version and how strong the pores and wrinkles are :3

thanks, the bowlcut will stay for sure, find a way to cut it straight at the front. reminds me on jim carrey in dumb and dumber .. a good thing hopefully.

this is the last rendering for now, have to finish the body and start the weapon:

will make some more iterations on the weapon..

@crazymoon sure, no thing at all, but i'm not that good at sculpting details .. still very messy and not defined but they are working ok.
i have a fractal noise node on top of this as a bump map in arnold, which breaks the highlight a little bit. but the highlights are still not where i want them!

thought about the weapon and had the idea of a transformable one.
i'd like him to have some kind of a staff.
when he swings it, the blades at the end open and the staff becomes an axe.
he can use the stuff also as a stabbing weapon.
it's shoulder high.

There is absolutely no words to describe this.

Each and every nook and cranny has received good attention.

I'm imagining lot's of effects to raise the level of realism even more!
Bloom .. blur .. depth of field.. ( will there be fire? ) Film grain??

@crazymoon we are done, when there is no time left anymore maybe too much detail. more detail means that it takes more time to generate all the detail.

still not sure with the weapon and decided to finish him first.
body first, than back to the armor and fix all issues and add the bloody dirt pass.
so jumped right to the hands .. albedo needs some tweaking, so does the specs. haha, hairs are missing too ..
but it's a good starting point. i took references from the avengers-hulk

@aveon thanks! yes slowly adding color variations and veins, but they need to be more prominent. still fighting with the specs and skin .. a lot to do, for the next 3 weeks.

here an update. mainly the body. still a lot of sculpting to do. i know it's an overkill. as a small picture it works ok.
but not on 100%.

@grigouips haha, that bowlcut just tops it!

Last update on the armor texs and materials.
I had to convert the Mari project. Mari is so much faster with just one object with infinite UDIMs than a lot of objects with one UDIM. The good thing was, that i had to reworked all the texs.
Played around with a blood pass, but decided to not make one.
Added a dirt one.

Weapon
More tex work on body
Body hair
Posing (i just don't want to do this...)
