Hey all, I'll be doing a fantasy dwarf. I've been wanting to do a Warhammer themed dwarf for a while now and this contest gives me a good excuse to do so.
It's far from an original idea, but hopefully i can come up with a good enough design to make up for that.

Here is what I have so far.

I intend to continue pushing the design further and add some weapons before moving to 3D.
Please let me know if you think I could improve any areas or go in a better direction.

Nice concept!
my humble suggestion is to make some imperfections to his stuff maybe in the armor.

Well I have spent a bit too much time on this concept. It's still pretty rough and I want to change some things, but I need to get going if I want to finish this guy.
I will probably change some of the design once I see how it looks in 3D.

@levi_sr Thanks, I intend to add the wear and tear when sculpting.

Decided to change the concept a bit. I wasn't getting the stubby Warhammer dwarf look I wanted, and the design didn't feel right.

Finishing up the high poly, just the weapons left. I will probably go with a wow style hand painted look for this guy. That being said, the high poly is a little overkill, but I couldn't decide what style to go with while making it.

Finished up the weapons so the high poly is done. Time to cram for the next week and get this finished.

I have a ways to go, not happy with a lot of it but hopefully I can get it all cleaned up in time.
I am still not sure if I am sold on the colors.

This is looking really awesome. I hope you can finish in time!

I think the colours look pretty good. Maybe push your gold to a little more yellow ( i think you can paint in some extra shines to make it pop) I think that will help break up the image so the gold isn't as close to the beard.

Thanks to the extended deadline, I decided to take a break from texturing and rig him up for posing. I should have plenty of time to finish everything before the deadline.
