Well I have spent a bit too much time on this concept. It's still pretty rough and I want to change some things, but I need to get going if I want to finish this guy.
I will probably change some of the design once I see how it looks in 3D.

Decided to change the concept a bit. I wasn't getting the stubby Warhammer dwarf look I wanted, and the design didn't feel right.

Finishing up the high poly, just the weapons left. I will probably go with a wow style hand painted look for this guy. That being said, the high poly is a little overkill, but I couldn't decide what style to go with while making it.

I have a ways to go, not happy with a lot of it but hopefully I can get it all cleaned up in time.
I am still not sure if I am sold on the colors.

I think the colours look pretty good. Maybe push your gold to a little more yellow ( i think you can paint in some extra shines to make it pop) I think that will help break up the image so the gold isn't as close to the beard.

Thanks to the extended deadline, I decided to take a break from texturing and rig him up for posing. I should have plenty of time to finish everything before the deadline.
