Started to thumbnail some rough ideas, 1 - 2 min each. So far thinking 'archer leaping into the air, lining up a shot.' I'll be sketching some concepts for the character to get a better idea of where I'm headed.

Concepts for the arcane archer. The goal was to merge a mage and ranger look, and have an elegant outfit that frees her arms so that she can summon fiery arrows. Her arms, eyes and maybe runes on her skin light up and glow with fire when she summons the arrows

Decided to ditch the flaming hands so that the arrow carries most of the accent colour. Still working on the background, aiming to work on the character later today

And here's the final! Been hard at work this week to finish this one as I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow. Made some changes to the design of her bow, tweaked some of the colours and pushed the details and rendering. Hope you like it!

I love the dynamic pose and that dragon, imposing but blending in with the background.
