Some initial Sketches. I'm gonna choose who I'll continue working on and then post some more after refining the designs. I got rid of the Rollerskates idea because it just didn't fit sadly. Maybe for another character. If you have feedback at this points or maybe want to tell me which one of those guys you like the most, please tell me :smile:

The Psycho uses gloves with integrated defibrillator, charged by the coils on his back.
The Medic uses a more traditional defibrillator model, powered by the big battery on his back.
The Swagger actually has completely modified arms with integrated sparking cables.

Really cool designs! Personally like the swagger the most, but that’s just my taste, because they are all really good!

I like the 'Medic' costume the most. I prefer the use of accessories and belts to create visual flow and really sell the the concept of this guy using contraptions strapped to him to embody the lightning element. Something about that little console hanging at his hip sticks out to me too.

I'm not sure about the hair though. Looks too styled and well-kept for a maniac that doesn't make the concept gel together, in my opinion. Maybe try more crazy or disorganised hair styles? You could look at the characters from the Borderlands series for more ideas. Good work so far, though.

Thx for the detailed feedback. You're right his hair is too "perfect". I will consider all of this when refining the designs. I guess I'm gonna combine the 3 designs anyway in some way. :smile:

I really love how this is coming on. To my own personal taste I prefer the third design with the swagger but this one definitely suits his element! All the belts and everything are a nice touch

I wish you luck for the contest, it would've been nice to see you doing some work earlier on but it's understandable when we all have busy lives and jobs to attend to. I hope you can make it for the deadline!

It's kinda static which I dislike but there's no time to find a better composition sadly. Just some Lineart, Color, Lighting, etc. Easy going... >.> At least some storytelling elements

Yeah so I don't think I'll manage to finish sadly. This just takes way way longer than I expected. But I'll try my best to get as far as I can. I like the composition and the storytelling going on. I hope other people than me can even tell what's going on I have no idea.

Okay "rough" lineart that took me quite a while is done :smiley: Now for the Ink.. :smiley: only 7 1/2h left. Oh boy.. :confused:

Finished Ink. Won't be able to finish the whole piece in time sadly, but I'll finish the artwork for sure tomorrow. Welp. Should've started earlier^^
