in my mind, idk how well red works, but my niece has "fighting fish", they call them idk what their real names are and the nicest one she has is a deep blood red/black/purple type of blend so if you want colors i'd look at fish's or any various forms of living things in the ocean, some amazing color combinations that might help.
But entirely red color to me feels like fire instead of water, if i start dwelling on it.
