Finally got a move on and started on my entry for the friggin best competition ever =)
I'm so stoked!!!
So many awesome entries already and I'm so god damn late to the party

The character I'm gonna try to create is an Earth Vanguard.
"Made by the spirits of the land. A peaceful creature at heart but threaten the light of the earth and be crushed by the force of nature."

This is gonna be so much fun!!!

Created some silhouettes, chose what I feel will work for my character atm. Pls comment if u have other suggestions, things I could add/remove and such =)

Time to start painting =) Decided on this comp with the vanguard defending "the Heart of the Forest" from whatever angry mob militia thingy that's attacking it. Still need lots of work with values and tons of other stuff... Might change a few things next time i sit down and paint tho.... Oh! He friggin needs a weapon... Heh, next time maybe

Ok so I've been fixing some things with the composition. Size, shape values and such. Feel that I might even be able to finish, maybe... Hope so.. ^-^

Progress from day before yesterday, somehow my file did'nt want to get uploaded yesterday... Anyhow, changed some things with the vanguards shape and added color. Still need lots of polish, need some particles and stuff aswell. Hopefully it'll get done soon =)

Progress so far. Need to take a small break and just see if everything fits before I go on and make the final rendering process with particles n stuff. Pls, if u see anything super wierd or anything thats obviously in need of correction, don't hesitate to comment =) (still not 100% decided on the shield thingy...)

Thanks a bunch for the feedback! That’s absolutely something I’ll fix tonight =) I’ll try to spread the fingers abit on the shield hand and beef up the other one.

Changed the design on the club hand into a... blade hand-ish
Also altered the magic hand abit. Image still need some more love. Just need to get done!" =)

Tho, I noticed that I messed up with some shadow values. Have to fix that super early tomorrow before deadline =)
