Cool sketch, you definitely improved a lot compared to last year. You might want to change up the head a little because it's a little hard to read it as a head and maybe a bend the arm so the hand that holds the blue creature faces the viewer more

Thank you so much for your kind words !
I don't know if I really have improved since last year but what I saw is everyone doing it even more than I do :joy:

At least I'm really faster than previous years, and that's a big relief.

Otherwise, yes I'm still not very sure about this "head" (kinda worm head, and to cheat with the flow for the composition).
And of course the bottom right corner is a topic for many changes.
Also maybe I will disentegrate a creature or 2 in the upper left corner in that firestorm.

Oh and another little point that may help others...try not to think too much when you draw something (or your start other and other again...well I know I do too sometimes).
And of course, try to create what is fun for YOU, not for the others (I mean we all have different tastes and all...maybe I'm on the other side, I like pretty much everything and that's hard for me to just choose one thing to draw (well my love for mechas is high so...now I don't even have to think twice :joy: ).

It seems probably simple suggestions, but it could be a great "healing"...when you are kinda lost in your own creative process (also (your own) good musics can help a lot with disconnect your brain, for overthinking way too much !).

looks ace  I would simplify the head to be more readable, it got me confused. love the anime style beams

Thanks a lot !
Ok then I will put a "troll" head so everyone will get it :joy:

Hey cool concept ! Just checked it for the first time. I love the way you've painted the big explosion storm, really nice.
It's a bit hard to understand what's going on on the bottom side of the image, is he in the air, on a cliff? pushing in the air by an explosion ?
keep up the good work

Thank you so much @dreamsequenz @rgdraw @Oceane_Roh -> yes this was probably hard to distinct (and still T-T)
A little anim on what I've done.
Not sure about lot of elements, so I will figure them out along the road.

Now it is kind of a (royal) Rooster :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

That is one hell of a gun for a rooster haha. I'm feeling how this looks man. I'm down with the royal rooster, 100%. Keep it up!

@sani Well I thought that the shape (for the arm/gun) was looking like an egg...then I saw a sort of an eagle head and transform it into a rooster head in the end and other stuffs

Last update, still a loooot to do.
Background is still super messy (same with monsters)

I really think I should get rid off that floaty wing on his back (there is already too much stuff going on...) and probably the steam from each side of the left foot.

I haven't ever noticed the wing ^^'
Now we can really understand what's going on on the image, great job !

Thank you so much @Oceane_Roh !
I try my best everytime...just not sure if I can finish like I really want to ^^'

Not sure which one to use yet...even if that's maybe the last thing I will do
If you want to put your suggestion on which one could look the best (I know I haven't detailed them each a lot...or maybe I will keep them 3 and decide at last step).

Still not sure about the green/turquoise sky, but I like this colour.
Next step probably adding new monster + changing the flying one.

And a closer look on one.

I'm liking B and C! I think either of them will work well. Looking good though, keep it up man!

Thank you @sani ! Well after some thinking, I'm going with B "Huge wave" (and now there is an ocotpus emerging from the sea).
Baby steps of today

I enlarged the canvas on top.
Many little details everywhere...I think the canon is looking better this way.

So many stuffs to correct, so little time left...

Added an octopus-dolphin (don't ask me why this breed) and a sort of giant eagle-dragon.

The tentacle on his right leg comes from the sea (octopus-doplhin).

Seems you got similar colours going on in here but much brighter and livelier hehe <3 love your concept sketch iterations you did earlier :>

Sure I know my values are totally wrong and all...but I prefer to focus on the details first (yes that's probably not the best T-T )

Also, you make a good point here...I loose so much strength when I paint it (I also prefer my sketches than my boring paintings...they loose so much dynamism with these linearts).
Well, that's a bit false because I can't get rid of the linearts...or else everything is blurry or confusing and all...

But my first problem is, I started it too late....and I don't really like it anymore.
Still I will try my best to finish it (but I got a gift to finish for my nefew birthday  , of course tomorrow )

Nevertheless, I do know I progressed a lot since 3-4 years doing Artwar(s) !!!
And surely many of us are, even if some can't be here every year or barely, sadly :sob:

And that is some serious energy going on here!

As for "I don't really like it anymore" - don't pay attention to that. It's perfectly normal . I for example don't like my piece at the moment but I know that I simply have to push it thru. Usually after initial steps, when we doing concepting and sketching and all that stuff, we get excited, but when it comes to actual realization of so cool idea, our excitement seems to vanish somewhere... somehow... And this is where perseverance and stubbornness should come to stage. We just have to push it thru. Good luck mate. Fight to the end!

Best regards
