First time to enter this contest :).

I will be focussing on Earth.
Here is the beginning of my process.

I was wondering however how I can show my process.
Should I just update this entry over and over (and thus overwrite the older images) or is there another way?

You just keep posting updates here so people can see how you progressed along the way. Don't edit out old images in older post with new ones.

Started to work on the volumes:

Finished the process of adding the volume layers

Next steps will be to add more contrast and colour and textures.

Playing with different forms of cold and warm lighting:

Now I have to decide on the lighting and how to incorporate the earth emblem

This will be my final image!

I chose to integrate the earth emblem as a symbol for her magic (as opposed to being carved out in the rocks in the back e.g.) as this is what fuels her powers.
