This is my first time being a part of this contest, I hope to grow as an artist by the end!
Lady Cypress is an earth based humanoid being who protects nature and sometimes humans, but only if they are pure of heart... but sometimes she makes exceptions, no one is perfect. She's very easily annoyed by most things (people), however, she is known to show kindness on occasion. Especially if you bring her potatoes, she loves potatoes.
First some Silhouettes. I'm digging #4
Still going to make some changes but here is a basic idea I got for the character. Next I'll refine some details, the color patterns and texture.
A more detail and shaded speed paint of the top half. I'm going to do more of these for the back, arms and legs.
Decided to get a W.I.P. of the final illustration started with a vine Kung Fu strike to the chest! Having fun with the foreground.
Some more speed paint details. Not really going to be doing a back shot but still wanted to add something to the back of the chest piece. Also some changes to the color of the knee. What you guys think?

Here is an update of the final illustration, Lady Cypress is like an angry mom dealing with some punks messing up her garden. XD Still deciding what to do with the background but I know I definitely want to try out some motion blur effects with her left arm.
