The following overview is partly research and partly my own interpretation of this character
After I told a friend about her, she called her a „lion mother“ and that describes her personality perfectly so I chose it as her title.

Internal conflicts:
Oyá‘s personality ranges from the loving and caring mother over the to the merciless warrior queen. She tends to tantrums not just against her enemies but also the ones she loves. This causes feelings of guilt but she is not able to stop those outbursts.
Besides she is the guardian of cemeteries but summons the deads she’s actually obliged to protect to force her will. She often regrets that afterwards.
External conflicts:
Oyá originally was the goddess of the sea but was tricked by Yemayá who owned the cemeteries. Oyá gave the reign over the sea to Yemayá in exchange for the cemeteries which she just had seen from the outside. Only after the business was done Oyá could enter the inside of the cemeteries and saw what she received. When Oyá realised the treachery it was to late. Since then the two women are bitter enemies.
To wreak vengeance on the „fishwife“ and because she always enjoys a good fight Oyá participates in the war of the elements.
Class: Melee Mage
Oyá uses her machete in close combat as well as lightning strikes from a short distance.
Skills
- Standard Attack: close combat with her machete, every third strike creates a lightning bolt automatically
- Standard magic attack: Lightning Strike
- Dash: Oyá dashes forward, casting lightning in every direction
- Lightning Wall: protective skill, Oyá‘s calling for many lightning bolts in front of her creating an insurmountable barrier as long as channeled and a short time after finishing, she’s unable to move during channeling
- Tornado: Oyá starts a wild whirling dance which creates a tornado - nearby enemies are knocked back, enemies further away are attacked by lightning. After a short time the tornado becomes self-perpetuating and cuts a lane through the enemies
- Ultimate skill: Oyá jumps up catching a lightning and slamming her electrified machete into the ground when landing. The shock wave stuns nearby enemies for a short time and the electricity reanimates every corpse within reach as her undead army who attack everything they find but can be controlled by Oyá
Channeling this ability will attract more lightning and keeps the reanimated bodies alive but Oyá is not able to use any other skill but giving orders
