Some messy sketch i did to explore the character.
First i try to create a sword-man with great sword but at the end the big bad bulky mage/wizard turns out to be pretty cool, so i decide i combine them and make a warmage with greatsword.
Gonna do some more sketch to define him.

Great start. Love the variety of exploration sketches.

My eyes are drawn to the top-left design in the second image. Although the thick collar might hide his face too much. Maybe make his collar more loose like the middle-top design. Can't wait to see him carrying a mage sword.

Really really love the idea of a buff war mage. Not something you tend to see a lot but for the nature of the element I think it works super well. The silhouette is really appealing too. Good job!

The colors turned out to be pretty bad but i put it here anyway, also there are some problem with the sword and details of character, feels like i tried to put too many things in him.
But i will keep fixing him while doing the illustration.

The 2 on the right seem good for now(top mostly), when you rework what you want to things may change. Nice thumbnails and designing so far.
