Team lightening! The idea of lizards and moths as mortal enemies is great. Also, the wider aspect ratio looks good.

however is it possible to get it in a more dynamic position? if it's too late for a big change like that ... just make sure the legs make more sense. now they don't seem to connect well to its body and they seem a bit too small? just imo....

Yeh, it was a little tricky trying to pose his limbs since his beard kind of obstructs view of his body a bit. A design drawback. :x
It's not clear in the B/W clean sketch but a little of his back thigh can be seen. His pose might be tweaked later in the rendering phase. Thanks for the critique!

A WIP shot of my illustration. Very rough, applying local colours and figuring out which colours to use for BG elements and the lizards.

WIP #2. Focused on focal point, establishing key shadow, ambient occlusion, secondary light, etc. BG grayed out for easy viewing.
WIP #3. Foundation is pretty much set. Now I'm painting over the characters, polishing and adding extra detail. The cloud beard will be worked on soon, I left it alone which is why it may look odd. Deadline is approaching!
Pay no attention to the derpy-looking lizards in the BG. They are not ugly, they were just born that way.
WIP #4. More rendering and polishing. Painted cloud beard and smoothed out details on BG lizards. If anyone see anything looking odd, feel free to comment.
