Its the Holidays. Dare I say more? Here is the bit of progress I have so far:

I've been thinking a lot about Gaer's design lately. I feel like her appearance doesn't completely reflect her character. Fortunately, I have some ideas on what I would like to change. Instead on iterating on the drawing, this time, I'll be concepting in Zbrush.
Big updates this time around.

Then I got fed up and abandoned my concept, hehe.
I replaced the giant relic for a smaller version, but I feel like it needs to stand out more.
Oh. And here's a spear thingy. I might switch it for a greatsword though. Not sure.
Concepting for the most part is out of the way. I kinda like where things are headed, not gonna lie. I will most likely change a few things, but she's kinda cool. Well, at least to me.

I really like the piece covering the eyes. It looks cool! I'm really growing to liek the look and feel of this character. really cool.

Okay. I gotta leave in like 2 seconds, but here are some updates:
I changed the mask design although some of you guys really seemed to really like the old one. But, I do think this one is a bit cooler. Added more clothing, fixed the ear anatomy, did a little bit of this, a little bit of that...and BOOM. Haha.

idk for me i want to see both her eyes but its just my preference getting in the way, idk about the covering of the eyes all together. For me she has a princess vibe going on and covering them throws it off for me.(you can go with the one eye covered just adding this in for general audience thoughts, more than a big change to the design.)
I feel like this expression should be used instead of the straight face crying or innocent looking face now. (she is either defending or attacking don't forget that part, the straight face crying could work in defense) (I feel the expression linked can work for attacking.)

Hey there! I could see why you would want to see both eyes. I am glad you mentioned the word "Princess" too. She isn't one, but I always had intended for the character to feel somewhat elegant.
However, the broken mask is an important part to what makes this character this character. The character from the start was always going to have a broken mask. She was always going to be crying and in pain. She was always going to be on the defensive. I soon hope to portray her story a bit more through her pose, so stay tuned!
Also, I can't see the link you posted. Can you link it again? Although the expression may be different, it may give me some inspiration.
This one, looks a little more mean, as if she is gathering her strength.
To me, and thanks for the information i wanted to understand the character more and now i do. looking forward to more updates.
