Hey people,

my name is Flix (31) and I am a professional 3D artist and CEO of OLD KID Studios. This is my first time participating in an art war and it is exciting. I'm joining the forces of lightning and try to challenge myself in various fields.

My character will be called Synapsos and will have some lightning powers which I will discover while creating him. I try to create a male humanoid creature which should look like it is capable of controlling lightning, high voltage or whatever. I'm trying not to do tech-electric stuff and focus more on bio-organic-electric designs for him like synapses. For now I simply tried to create a simple proportion study. Later in the process I will incorporate my synapse theme more and more. Pretty challenging but definitely fun.

Inspirations are definitely games like Warframe, Destiny and Joe Mad designs. So maybe I will be capable of finding a great balance between these inspirations.

Really like the face-mask thingy in my initial concept and sketched a more defined shape out of it. Definitely not a final concept for the head but I feel I'm on the right way.

Happy new year everyone,
I was a bit lazy over the holidays. Definitely something I don't wanna be at the start of this year.

This is my concept direction which definitely will change during the sculpting part as I love to explore shapes in the three dimensional space a lot more.

I know. The lightning theme is very abstract and not really visible but I'm pretty sure I'lll have a working concept at the end of this journey fingerscrossed

Started roughly with the base mesh. Really like sculpting anatomy. As the upper body will be almost fully visible, it is very important for me to have the anatomy right even though I'v exaggerated some muscle groups.

@Sergei_Pakhomov yeah kinda. But as I am working on the legs at the moment I'm not so sure if I should stick to it. I want to have him look like to be fast on his feet. Less friction made sense to me and give the design a more focused look on the upper half. But in 3D it looks kinda weird at the moment so I might change it during the process. Update comes soon.

@srosario1 Thanks dude. Glad you like it. Totally feel the same as I try to be a little bit more abstract with his design. Making the mask cool is definitely the challenge, as this is his only real focus point while the rest of his body is carrying this idea.

After a few days of thinking about this character I came to the conclusion to revisit the drawing board. So I did this! Although it is less abstract and more humanoid, it is somethink I really like to do and it is also more fun to create.

I kinda new that I would restart but I guess that's okay.

My new concept is a speed tank who can create dense electrical fields to protect his allies.

Started with 3D on this one. I used a existing (self made) male base mesh for proportions and sculpted some facial details. The rest is simple and rough and needs some more tweaks to fit the concept a bit more.
