Started roughly with the base mesh. Really like sculpting anatomy. As the upper body will be almost fully visible, it is very important for me to have the anatomy right even though I'v exaggerated some muscle groups.

@Sergei_Pakhomov yeah kinda. But as I am working on the legs at the moment I'm not so sure if I should stick to it. I want to have him look like to be fast on his feet. Less friction made sense to me and give the design a more focused look on the upper half. But in 3D it looks kinda weird at the moment so I might change it during the process. Update comes soon.

@srosario1 Thanks dude. Glad you like it. Totally feel the same as I try to be a little bit more abstract with his design. Making the mask cool is definitely the challenge, as this is his only real focus point while the rest of his body is carrying this idea.

After a few days of thinking about this character I came to the conclusion to revisit the drawing board. So I did this! Although it is less abstract and more humanoid, it is somethink I really like to do and it is also more fun to create.

I kinda new that I would restart but I guess that's okay.

My new concept is a speed tank who can create dense electrical fields to protect his allies.

Started with 3D on this one. I used a existing (self made) male base mesh for proportions and sculpted some facial details. The rest is simple and rough and needs some more tweaks to fit the concept a bit more.

After the block out for first impressions I directly went more into detail with Leiftur.
This is the current progress so far. It's definitely the better choice for the Art War 4 character in my oppinion

As the deadline comes closer, I need to finish at this point and focus on texturing and the weapon. The current look of my character changed a lot during the process but I enjoyed how things turned out and how some things looked awkward in 3D.

Anyway. A little bit further and I'm done for my first ever entry

Here is a simple render shot comparing high poly, low poly and the textured model. It took me quite long to decide which colours I should use for him as normal human skin looked too basic to me.

This is my final render and my official entry to this amazing challenge.

As this is my first time participating in an Art War, I cannot be more excited about it.
I struggled a lot during the concept phase as I wasn't quite happy with the results so I decided to just go with the flow and being spontaneous. This is what I came up with and I am pretty happy so far. I challenged myself in different aspects with 3D character creation and learned a lot during the process. Also it is very inspiring to see, what other participants are bringing to the table and I felt in love with so many great works already.
I hope you enjoy this character.
