Ok so just a brief description of the goals for this years comp. I want to make up for the deficiencies in technical proficiency from the last comp by creating incredibly realistic textures with fantastic renders.

So I am going to create a character with incredibly realistic skin textures and a large variety of natural and organic materials. While creating an Incredibly compelling character that inspires creative storytelling! )

Still trying to solve the lower half.
Its been tricky trying to make her appear attractive while maintaining her nature.

Ok so I have some kinda solution for the lower half coming along. Still not into so much but I'll keep working it. I torn between a smooth manta ray surface or crab armor.
Her skin texture will be shark so I wan some contrast.

She will have a mix of jelly fish, shark, squid, manta ray and crab.

starting to get some where with the base added some fiddler arms between her tentacles.
converted a lot of parts to mesh.

still need to add fins and gill organs.

Had some real issues with trying to solve the tentacles. But I think I have something I like so far.
I will start working her body now into a more amphibious type.

Adding fins and more sleek hydrodynamic lines. Will add more Jelly fish elements also.
Getting anxious, wanna start texturing!

Ok so the body retopology is done! Damn, The worst part of modeling!!!
I added her fish anatomy and will start to detail her body and face. I might add 3 more eyes.

I also added some tentacle flippers like a cape to her back. I might add some kinda hair tentacles as well.

I finish in time I want to add 2 eels to the scene for final render. If there's time.

ok 90 % done with the model, uv's and materials and I can now start the texturing.
