Привет Воронеж =)
Finally, the winter weekend, which means I can start the competition work.I found a few references and move on to conceptualizing my character. I chose the Asian theme and the water element.
Sculpting the base head in progress
Probably too childish. I’ll think about it.
Nice start so far. If it's childish by design then why to worry?))
finished the base body.
and gave the face a more Asian look

rough draft suit. all the details so far in my head. )
Work on clothes began with a belt.
bit of face sculpt
I spent most of my time building scenes and poses. it was a very long way and maybe it is not finished yet, but it is necessary to move on to creating the character himself.in short, with what I started and in what way I came to the "final" idea:
The initial idea was relatively simple - a samurai girl beats a fireball with a katana, while at the same time creating an ice spike from the water for a retaliatory strike.
To give more tragedy, I put it on one knee and sent a blow from above.
Further, I got the idea that she is not just defending herself from a blow, but saving another character. In the first version, it was a girl who might have stumbled and ended up on the path of the fireball.
