"From the scorching ashes of a burning warrior, an aspect of flame summon itself. Wushi, as consciousness was driven to him, it became known that it was his name. The curiosity of the flame gifted him the power of a scorching heart of a warrior, and the flame itself. Wushi didn't know anything on the past, except the duty to guard and protect."
Excited on doing as this will be my first character that I will be doing (seriously this time). I'm inspired of the Darksiders stuff so I will try adapt it as inspiration. I've gathered some Chinese Armor references on different dynasties, I think it might fit the fire theme that I will be doing. Also gathered some designs from "Avatar: The last airbender", might prove useful on designing and color mood of my character.

I have also started rough blocking so I can see the overall shape/silhouette of the character. Then I overpainted it on photoshop so I can visualize more of what will be the final look of my character and freely design.

Super rough concept of his weapon. Still deciding what I'm gonna use, guess I have to make thumbnails of different weapon.

22 days later

Something was missing on his back so I had made a quick sketch of some ideas that might work with this character. Imo, kinda liking the second one, concept was about a micro sun that was his source of power, and I got the hands from some buddha statue reference.

Some small progress. Polishing the upper part and added/modified some parts. Still not done polishing the and has a long way to go. Hope I can really finish this on time

Had to grind and really spend time during weekends. Wraping up the Highpoly, still going to add some wear and tear, chippings, damages, etc. Hope I can finish this on time. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a little sick today, but a little progress. Chips and cracks added to the detail.
