As a proud portuguese, there was no questions about wich would be the country to choose.
we've got it all. A extraordinary history that crosses with many cultures and inflenced a lot more. with that said i start looking in to the greatest feats of portugal, and ofc the great explorations is the winner without doubt.
the first thought i've got was to look for achitectural styles and colors for inspiration. (Manuelino style, azulejo português and blue where the picks).
than the flag, that's a tricky part... the least we can say about our flag is "complex", so i looked for only the basics of it.
it was only in process blocking out the antomy or more precisly shapes ^^' "early stage for a while" that i remenber of myth of "adamastor" a creation o Luís Camões, a well known portuguese poet who wrote the epopee "Os Lusíadas".
Punished by the Greek gods who defeated the Titans and jealous of the freedom and exploration of the Portuguese seafarers, Adamastor vows to torment every ship that sails past him.
Today you only need to stand on the rugged cliffs of Cape Point to get a
sense of Adamastor’s terrible majesty and feel a portent of his
brooding wrath.
