Hi everyone!
This is the first time I participate to the Artwar challenge, I am very happy that we can all share here our creativity and absorb such good vibes from each other.
I wish you all an happy art journey!
I will do my best to represent France in this war.
my character is Marianne, she is in the military and have already shown her skills in battle.
I have been thinking a lot about what kind of character she would be.
Initially I wanted her to be a Gargoyle pilot. And that is mainly what I was sketching about this past week.
But the concept started to feel a bit dull and a little boring. References were all the same and I couldn't put my finger on something that moves me ....
I came to realise that I named my character the Wild rooster and I was working on a robot/gargoyle.
So I went back to do more researches, working on a backstory for this lady and what I really wanted to communicate.
The concepts I am aiming now are fast and sharp.
Through the design of the gargoyles I kind of felt more joy drawing a light weight gargoyle than the heavy beast.
So this time I'll keep it LIGHT.
For the next week I want to show you my new researches about that.
I am not forgetting the gargoyles, I believe there are a part of the process even so the concept is changing a little. I might eventually do a mix.
I joined this post with my sketches of this 1st round of thoughts and my latest reference board the the next batch of researches.
Hopefully I can also explore some of the character traits and push even more on the french symbols.
Let me know what you think!
