Some great shapes here! I would say G is the way to go. Very good contrast between the thick waist area and the thin upper body. Also love the clear cut hairline. Overall very clear and appealing silhouette 👌

these past weeks I worked on the final looks.
I reduced my researches on the silhouettes C and G, since they are the most interesting
It's amazing to see that everyone went for these 2. No way I would ignore it.
Finally I went further with C.
G was looking too fantasy and too far from my original concept.

So, A month as passed and I need to start my composition researches for the illustration.
I am a little late so I'm gonna quickly work on the weapon at the same time ahahah

While waiting for the next post, here are my girls.
I have a preference for number 1 but 2 and 3 have also some interesting features
I wish I could do more researches .

Hi guys!
Since I had a hard time picking of version, I decided to put aside the character a little.
I thought that, by working on the composition and the gesture, it would make the decision easier.
Here are the thumbnails I've been working on.
Lately I am a bit busy and the deadline is getting close, I hope I will be able to finish this challenge.
Thumbnails are not my strengh and I'm very slow ahahah.
For the moment I like the thumbnails C,E,F and J (with more effect).

If you have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

I like C and E because there is a certain flow and dynamic, but I also like H because it's looking just epic with the explosion and feathers... Maybe she can also fight with feathers? Could look very organic and interesting ^^

The C is actually inspired by the jump that roosters do when they fight ahahah

The use of feathers is a great idea! it's funny because I was thinking about the feathers as flying elements aroung the character as she is fighting.
But using feathers as a side weapon, I love that idea !

This is getting serious, the end of the challenge is soon!
Here is some update about the final illustration.
I spent some time trying to find the best pose for the character.
I really like the composition and the dynamic of the sketch C from my previous researches.
But....she didn't look like she was attacking ahah
So I tried to tweak a little without destroying the initial composition and idea.

Illustration is not where I am the best so if you have any advice to improve the image, I take!

Hello! I like the concept and the look you are going for. Like you, I tried to go for a kicking pose but I found it to be kind of difficult to make it work! If it helps, what gave me some ideas to make them work was watching anime fighting scenes. It sounds silly, but why not draw from the experience of talented animators and their sequences to get some ideas.
I am aware that the end of the challenge is near, but you may want to try to add some more elements to increase the severity of her fight. The helicopters are a nice touch, but why not having them shoot towards your character? Just throwing some ideas out, but it works for a) letting the viewer be aware that this is a fight, there are things at play, and it is not just a girl jumping around. b) leading lines that help your composition, all those bullets are a nice and sensible excuse to play and push the composition further! Same goes with feathers, enemies, all the nice things you got going on in there.
