A female aboriginal tribal chief representing Formosa (Taiwan) defends her hunting grounds against the invading locusts. Her weapon of choice is the Atayal Sword. Inspired by the Taiwanese movie Seediq Bale.

I had anticipated for this year's Art War V since December and started my ideation and sketching process back in December. Lots of research and rough thumbnails to get the desired composition and level of epicness xD I was gonna incorporate the idea of Taiwanese Bubble Tea & Baseball into this but in the end I changed my mind.

Also, I started doing character thumbnails.. kept exploring...finding that interesting silhouette..

Searching for that composition and deciding what story I wanted to tell...

Finally figured out what the problem was... the image size resolution was simply not wide enough...

I was amazed by this one... looking back now.. can't believe I have come this far eh.. xD

Trying out with some photo textures... Don't think I will use most of them... Exploring some design elements for the main character as well..Nothing is final yet.... xD

I wanna fix my locust soldiers' poses and perspective as well as the gun design. I will do my best to finish this on time!! (finger crossed)
