Alrighty, so i still don't have a name for the character, but I did do some ideations between today and yesterday to get the ball rolling. Let me know down below which one you think I should continue with and I might go with that one. Also, let me know if you'd like to see more. =

Hey bauscheusse, thanks for the response! All of these are American, I had put together a color swatch on the rigth that happens to be the french flag pattern XD . Other than that, I've got about 3 people who like the far right one, and another person who likes the horn lady.
I hadn't noticed before but I'm getting uk vibes from the far left too lol. That's all good tho since, once I choose a design I'll be incorporating more of America into it.
At this point I'm most interested in the wing lady on the right so I think I'll go with her, if after today I don't have any more ideations of interest. thanks again!

Had to take a big hiatus but I'm back with some sketches! I still don't know what the character's name is going to be. That being said I have a reference board full of story and plot stuff that is really only their to help me with the final illustration.
To keep it simple, my character's a wizard-esque adventurer who is actually traveling to battle a demon who used to be a hero themselves. Her goal is to find answers to her past and the demon is foretold to have the knowledge she is seeking.

Here's my ref board if anyone following this is interested in seeing the "blueprint". Simple designs are very hard for me to get to without a lot of thought, but I generally enjoy that aspect of design so it's all good.

Alrighty, another hiatus but I was actually able to get my character's design down in 1 go. That's pretty much how I would've hoped it would go this time around since most of the initial thought was done during the ref and note taking phase. I'll be doing her character sheet tomorrow and then also wip out a quick villain (which should be fun!).
Then it's off to the illustration. I'm quite crunched for time aren't I? Anyways, wish me good luck finishing!

phew that took longer than expected! So i've got my antagonist down for the most part. I like to add one in so that coming up with an illustration composition is easier. That being said, this character does have a similar path in terms of story, to our main gal. She unfortunately fell to the power she craved so much, and became something much darker.
It's almost like she's a cautionary tale to Nora (the main character).

Alrighty, back with my concept sheet. I thought I would go ahead and get this out of the way since I want to spend all of my remaining time and energy on the illustration. My tablet stopped working midway through so it was a bit frustrating, but I managed to get it working for now. On to the illustration!

Going to head to bed, but before that I wanted to post some messy composition sketches I did in order to feel out the piece. in the final piece there may or may not be a guest appearance from some characters I haven't had the chance to design yet because of time limitations.
