Hello there,
this is my first Art War so I do my best.

I decided to create character based on my homeland - Poland. It is going to be pilot and his mech.

Look of the pilot I'll base mostly at the apparence of typical Polish hooligan (bald, wearing adidas tracksuit, smoking cigarettes and drinking vodka). Also, I'll add some pieces of modern-hightech armor, because he is mech pilot, after all. I'm thinking of adding to his look parts of Polish nobel' s clothing (a robel belt, distinctive cap, etc.) Despite that I'll add some of the Polish symbols, like: white eagle, the sign of Fighting Poland, flag and others like that. Oh, and sandals with white socks to make him even more Polish.

The Mech will be based on hussar equipment (wings on the back, characteristic helmet and lance). I'm not sure what schapes use to draw it yet, but for sure I use red and white to color it and as a details I'll use polish tradicional ornaments, Polish patriotic symbols and some other stuff but that later. I'll name this mech "Sobieski" after a Polish king who repelled the Ottoman army in the Battle of Vienna, having under command, among others, hard Polish cavalry - hussars.

It turn's out pretty good. After reading the description I imagined some kind of russian "gopnik" with a Polish hussar wings on the back)

Alright, some freshly baked sketches of mech. To be honest this is my first mech in life. I draw mostly fantasy themed drawings, so this is something new. I've tried my best to blend hussar's characteristic symbols to the mech.

References:

Love the wings on a mech and the flowy lance. You made a really nice combination of traditional and modern elements. Looking forward to see more!

I decided that instead of piloting mech in the cocpit the pilot will be able to control movements of the mech/robot with implant which is conected with pilot's brain.
I drew three concepts of how this implant may looks like. I based its look on cyberpunk style.
Though, I think in final piece I combine these three concepts in one.
