Almost done... Time for effects
Inspiration for this character came from two main sources originating from Russian folk: Snow Maiden (elements of frosty swirls on multiple surfaces) and Snow Princess (crescent and swan feathers on tiara and wings). It took a lot of brainstorming to try portraying a character to represent traditional Russian royal clothing. Common elements are rich fabric patterns, symmetry, enlarged sleeves, shoulder cover and fur. Taking a traditional Russian tiara shape, I have stylized it fit the overall design. For the fabric pattern, playing on the contrast I've decided to use blue Gzhel pattern which has been widely used in Russian pottery. And lastly, my palette consisted of 3 main colors of Russian flag, red, blue and white.
I depicted her as an elemental sorceress who looks fragile but is extremely powerful and deadly. As one of her powers (in accordance to the colours of the flag), she controls ice to strike her enemies. The other two are fire and snow storm.
