I live in Canada but my home country is Russia. Just as for many Russians, me and my family love celebrating New Years - probably our most favorite holiday. It brings warmth and magic into the house. So, I thought embedding elements of magic, elegance and winter into my work would be an interesting idea. Hopefully.!
Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) is a character originated from folk tales dating back to 1869. She is a girl born out of snow and most often depicted as a granddaughter and helper of Ded Moroz (Father Frost). Her character has been seen in multiple plays, cartoons, and movies. Throughout many years, she has become an imminent part of Russian winter celebrations.
